Check In

Some hotels will ask you to sign a credit card voucher in order to establish your credit. This voucher will be given back to you if you prefer to pay cash when checking out.

Safety Deposit Boxes

Safe storage for your valuables is available at the hotel front desk. Inquire with your hotel about charges for this service. Keep your valuables there. You don't need to carry them all with you.

The Sun

Short periods of sun exposure and use of sunscreen are recommended. Remember, the Mayan Riviera is in the Tropics.

Timeshares

Some vendors and companies will offer you discounts or free meals, tours or car rentals. Their only purpose is selling you a timeshare condominium unit. Don't give your name, hotel and room number to anyone except your tour representative.
